Khan Ong is a conceptual transmedia brand extension of Ong’s successful first cook book; A Gay Guy’s Guide to Life, Love, Food. The project aims to extend Ong’s story through various media forms. Overall, the branding looks to reflect Ong’s bright, bold, fun personality through contrasting colours and asymmetrical typography. More than this though, the brand communicates a sense of pride, belonging and warmness which Ong captures in his book. Ong gives confidence to his audience, in the kitchen and life.
