Local Connections is a new dining venue at the University of Newcastle’s Callaghan campus. The branding needed to capture the restaurant’s space, the burnt orange referencing the interior design. With a focus on using local produce, we knew the design had to be centred on local values, hence the tagline; Local Food. Local Stories. The organic nature of the logo nods to the produce, while the rustic typography ties in to a ‘farmers market’ feel. Local connection’s bridges the gap between farm and table, it is only fitting that the branding warmly invites its guest to connect as well.
